Access to safe, reliable drinking water and sanitation services underpin the vibrancy of our lives and livelihoods.
The reality is it costs a lot to provide water and sanitation services and while everyone should pay, not everyone can.
We are exploring how the law influences the pricing of water and sanitation services in order to give communities the tools to safely and reliably provides these services to their residents.
This Report examines county and municipal laws impacting the affordability of water and sanitation services in Maryland. We have issued this Report as a draft to engage with stakeholders about our findings.
